Monthly EventsThe GatheringMarch 23, 6pm-8pm. A time of worship, fellowship and God’s Word. Special guest band: The Seed Company (a worship team from Carson-Newman College). Invite friends for this special night. We will be combined with the Sr. High ministry. iServeMarch 28-29 & April 4-5. Each year during Spring Break we set aside two days to serve others in our area. This year we will be returning to Stony Glen Camp for a day of service. We will meet at MBC at 2pm on Monday and return at 8pm on Tuesday. You will need to bring money for fast food on Monday evening, snacks, toiletries, sleeping bag, Bible, pen, and flashlight.

Sarah has been a member of Maranatha since 2003 and has been blessed to serve as an intern in the Jr. High since January 2010. Prior to her internship, Sarah was in the process of completing her undergraduate degree in Family and Child Development through Liberty University. Sarah enjoys working with Jr. High students and appreciates their open hearts and willingness to learn. She considers it a joy to invest in the lives of the young girls through relationship building, discipleship, and times of silliness. Sarah’s desire is to help these young ladies grow deeper in their relationship with the Lord and their love for the Lord. She hopes they experience changed lives as a result of knowing Him more. Sarah and Nick have been enjoying their first year of marriage and look forward to many more wonderful years to come!

Adam’s greatest desire for ministry is to see students encounter the incredible love and grace of Jesus Christ. He prays that every junior high student would commit to shamelessly proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ, the greatest story ever told. Lastly, Adam longs to see true life-change in the students God entrusts to him, as they live on mission with Jesus. Adam graduated from Cedarville University in 2011, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Comprehensive Bible with a minor in Youth Ministries. Adam is married to Lydia, who also graduated from Cedarville with a degree in Nursing. Lydia currently serves at Akron Children’s Hospital as a registered nurse. Adam and Lydia are enjoying the great blessing of marriage and are thrilled to serve junior high students for the glory of God.

We are growing followers of Christ who shamelessly proclaim the gospel, so those apart from Him might see his love, grace and hope through us. While serving, loving and reaching non-believers for Jesus is very important, Elevate is also committed to equipping students, so they may experience true life-change and boldly live out their faith, the marks of genuine discipleship. In our student ministry, everyone is considered a minister of the gospel, because sharing the hope of Christ is a call to all followers. Here is how we plan to make this dream reality:Through genuine worship, we encounter Jesus. Elevate is committed to worshiping its Creator through all areas of life, not only on Sunday mornings. While praise and worship, personal and corporate prayer, and the study of God's Word are powerful methods of experiencing Christ, Elevate is committed to honoring Christ in everything, from study halls to shopping malls, and from soccer fields to piano recitals. We are also committed to consistently preaching the greatest story ever told; the gospel of Jesus Christ. Through life applicable messages and sermon series, the needs of non-believers and believers alike are addressed on a regular basis. Through meaningful relationships, we reflect Jesus.Creating a unified and exciting environment where people feel welcomed, accepted and deeply loved, is our top priority here at Elevate. Through D-Groups (Discipleship Groups), Elevate Events, ON MISSION Projects and Trips, Summer Camp and Retreats, we are effectively creating an atmosphere where true vulnerability, accountability and friendship are possible. Through selfless efforts, we serve Jesus. Elevate is committed to serving the holistic needs (physical, mental, emotional and spiritual) of the oppressed, impoverished and less fortunate in its surrounding communities and those around the world. Elevate offers regular service opportunities, where members are urged to join hands with those who desperately need to see, hear and experience the love of Jesus Christ.
